New England Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has been suspended for one game by the National Football League for hitting Buffalo Bills cornerback Tre'Davious White in the back of the head after a play was over during their game on Sunday.

"I'd say on anything that is outside of our control, such as injuries that could go down to pregame workouts and so forth, things that are out of control are out of our control", Belichick said. "There was a lot of frustration".

A decision could come quickly, as several players suspended this season - Tampa's Mike Evans, Denver's Aqib Talib and Oakland's Michael Crabtree - were informed of their suspensions on Mondays. Gronk apologized for the hit, but said after the game that he was frustrated by inconsistent calls against him. I was just really frustrated at that moment naturally through emotions and frustration, and just want (to apologize to) Tre'Davious White.

"I kind of felt like he pushed me a little bit and made the play, and I just don't understand why there wasn't a flag", Gronkowski said of the play. Gronkowski then ran toward White and dove into him, driving his arm into the back of White's helmet. "And just a couple times during the game, and they're calling me for the craziest, craziest stuff ever".

Gronkowski caught nine passes for 147 yards against Buffalo on Sunday. "It was just frustration". When someone on Twitter questioned his reasoning, McGinest responded: "I base my opinions off watching all the National Football League games and evaluating similar scenarios like the A.j Green/Ramsey fight which was". The Patriots play the Miami Dolphins next.

A first-team All-Pro selection automatically would trigger the largest possible payday, though, and Gronkowski, a four-time All-Pro, remains a front-runner for that honor. Hyde and Patriots wide receiver Danny Amendola were both called for unnecessary roughness for a separate altercation, and Bills defensive end Jerry Hughes was penalized for unsportsmanlike conduct for his behavior toward officials.
