Illumination Entertainments & Universal Pictures could be making Animated Mario movie together

The prospects of new a "Super Mario" film is also a big deal because Nintendo has kept its intellectual property largely off movie screens for decades.

Super Mario Brothers is a video game that follows plumber brothers Mario and Luigi as they navigate their fantasy world of evil turtles and poisonous mushrooms.

As Kotaku points out, the Wall Street Journal's reports on Nintendo's media haven't always been accurate. It is the best-selling video game franchise of all time.

Reported by the Wall Street Journal, a Mario themed animated movie is in the works. This can be the next awaited animated film of Hollywood.

If Universal Pictures and Illumination Entertainments will join hands and sign a deal with Nintendo then this can be next biggest animated movie and they will surely take the deal to a peak. It has made "Minions" and "The Secret Life of Pets".

The only feature-length movie that Mario and company have fostered comes in the way of the live-action Super Mario Brothers of 1993, which many people today often try to forget ever existed.
