Daylight saving time: Changing smoke alarm batteries

Along with setting clocks back an hour, East Fork Fire department would like to encourage residents to also keep in mind to change their smoke detector batteries. Changing alarm batteries at the beginning and end of Daylight Saving Time is a handy way to remember.

Batteries are removed due to a "chirping sound", which actually indicates the battery needs to be replaced!
