Two killed in shooting at Colorado Walmart store

Police say two men were killed and a woman was injured in a shooting inside a suburban Denver Walmart. Michael Konopasek of Fox 31 reported that it's no longer an active shooter situation, but now an active crime scene, though many are anxious about their loved ones.

Police took Ostrem into custody after his auto was blocked by traffic at an intersection.

Two men died at the scene of the shooting and a wounded woman was taken to a hospital where she died.

Thornton Police Department spokesman Victor Aliva said there was no indication as to motive at this stage. They were searching the store for the shooter whose identity was unknown.

Thornton police tweeted Wednesday night that they were responding to a shooting with "multiple parties down".

It happened at 9900 Grant Street in Thornton early Wednesday evening.

It is located off Interstate 25 in Thornton, which is north of downtown Denver.

Authorities did not immediately release any other information about the victims.

Police were called around 6 p.m.to the store. "I ran out, too, because I didn't want to get shot", he said.

Customers and employees hid or fled toward the exits after gunshots rang out in Thornton, a suburb of Denver.
