And though Kim saw tons of positive feedback for her arguably uncanny costumes, she was also heavily criticized for dressing up like a black woman. Last night, she and her sister Kourtney Kardashian went as Madonna and Michael Jackson. This Halloween weekend, Kim dressed up as not one but THREE singing superstars, and we really can't decide our fave. "She looked good!" Another noted, "People are mad about Kim Kardashian's costume, but I'm just glad my girl Aaliyah is trending RIP sweet angel". The two recreated the King and Queen of Pop at the 1991 Academy Awards. Kim recreated the look from Aaliyah's 2001 hit "Try Again", wearing a bejewelled choker, with a matching bra and black trousers.

Her BFF Jonathan Cheban was Sonny Bono. "The KUWTK star nailed the songstress" look, from her yellow "Dream of India" Bob Mackie two-piece ensemble, right down to her dagger-style pink nails. Did Kim K culturally appropriate?

But now, Twitter seems to be divided into two distinct sections - one that believes Kim is being her problematic, typical Kardashian self by appropriating black culture, and another that believes Kim is paying tribute to the late singer via fashion, like she truly would have wanted to be remembered.
