Animal Crossing Mobile will be revealed this week via Nintendo Direct

Nintendo's October 24 announcement will focus exclusively on Animal Crossing mobile games, as the company confirmed that there will be no updates on any other topics including another mobile, Nintendo Switch or Nintendo 3DS software. The publisher released Fire Emblem Heroes in February this year, but things have been quiet on the Animal Crossing front since the announcement.

Confirmed on Monday by Nintendo, the Direct will take place on October 24 where players can expect to see a wealth of information about the popular series' transition to the mobile platform.

Depending on how it's handled an Animal Crossing mobile title could be a good fit for phones.

Nintendo announced the Animal Crossing Mobile Direct earlier today, with the presentation set to stream on October 24th at 11pm EST, or 12pm Japan time on October 25th.

We don't know. How could we? The last mainline title in the series, Animal Crossing: New Leaf, released in 2012, and fans have been impatiently waiting for an announcement of a new game for a while now.
