Twitter came under fire yet again this week, this time for temporarily suspending Rose McGowan's account on Wednesday night, following her tweets about Harvey Weinstein. The movie mogul was sacked last Sunday by the company he co-founded amid accusations that he sexually harassed or sexually assaulted women. "Today we saw voices silencing themselves and voices speaking out because we're still not doing enough". "We've been working to counteract this for the past 2 years", Dorsey tweeted.

Dorsey tweeted that "we see voices being silenced on Twitter every day". We prioritized this in 2016. We'll update if we get them. "We've been working intensely over the past few months and focused today on making some critical decisions".

Dorsey tweeted that users can look forward to the changes in the next few weeks with more information coming this following week. More to share next week.

Meanwhile, Dorsey also said that the Twitter team is also reconsidering its verification procedure- putting out a blue tick on verified accounts. "Not as high a priority as enforcement, but it's up there", he said.
