JK: LeT commander Waseem Shah, another terrorist killed in Pulwama encounter

The fierce gun battle started this morning after security forces received specific intelligence inputs about the presence of terrorists in the Litter village of Pulwama.

Khan said the militants turned down an offer to surrender, resulting in a gunfight that eliminated both.

On Wednesday, two Indian air force commandos and two fighters were killed in a gun battle in north Kashmir's Bandipora village.

The other terrorist has been identified as Nisar Ahmad Mir.

"Waseem was one of the notorious militants operating in South Kashmir". Nisar Ahmed Mir, who was killed along with Shah on Saturday, joined the LeT in May 2017.

A college dropout, Waseem Shah, was a resident of Heff-Shrimal in Shopian district.
