At the Xiaomi launch event held in Beijing last month, we learned that the brand would be bringing the Mi Mix 2 to India. The phone will be available on Flipkart, Mi Home and at Xiaomi's offline retail partners. Adding to this highlight is the new 18:9 full-screen display fitted into a 5.99-inch IPS LCD screen.

In terms of the battery it comes with a 3500 mAh. Running Android 7.1 Nougat, the device comes equipped with a 12MP rear camera with Sony IMX386 sensor, 4-axis OIS and f/2.0 aperture along with a 5MP front-facing camera. However, that is not to say the phone does not have its fair share of issues. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 will come out as the successor of the Mi Mix which was launched in 2016.

Instead, the company has announced a pair of USB Type-C port supported earphones to help you with the transition.

The use of Ceramic at the back means that the device will be prone to smudges and fingerprints.

Following the trend, the Mi Mix 2 has ditched the audio jack. It is for us to wait and watch what new milestone Xiaomi accomplishes in India with this new device. The company has also added a "super black lens coating" to the front camera lens to ensure that it is discreet. On the front side, there is a 5-megapixel front camera. Apart from the design, the Mi Mix boasts of top-of-the-line specifications such as a 2.45GHz octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM AND 128GB of storage. It features Snapdragon 835 chipset with Adreno 540 GPU, 6GB of RAM, and 128GB onboard storage. The Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 features a ceramic body with a 7-Series aluminum frame and a 18K gold plated camera ring on the rear panel. In addition to this, the chin size of the phone is also reduced to some extent which is 41.1% shorter than the iPhone 8 Plus, claimed the Lead Product Manager, Jai Mani at the event. With internal enhancements, the low light images on the Xiaomi Mi Mix 2 are brightened up which may look artificial sometimes.

The pricing has never been a problem for Xiaomi. You have to rotate the phone upside down for clicking selfied from a normal angle, and Xiaomi has made sure that the camera UI rotates 180 degrees so that it adjusts.

Additionally, Xiaomi's take on Android also does not allow the kind of flexibility that you can get from stock Android.
