Odell Beckham Jr already headed for surgery on injured leg

As if the Giants season could not get any worse, the unthinkable happened.

Beckham was carted off the field, in tears, and was reportedly taken directly to the Giants' X-ray machine. Ingram would recover, and three plays later, Philip Rivers would connect with running back Melvin Gordon for a game-winning touchdown.

Should he, in fact, need surgery on his left ankle, as ESPN's Jordan Raanan reported, he could end up missing the remainder of the season. In the process of losing that fifth consecutive game to the Chargers, they also lost wide receivers Brandon Marshall, Sterling Shepard and Dwyane Harris due to injury.
