Radhe Maa dances with police officers, two suspended

Self-styled god-woman, Radhe Maa once again courted controversy as she was caught in a video receiving a grand welcome at Vivek Vihar police station and later sat on the chair of the Station House Officer (SHO).

SHO Sharma was immediately sent off duty for allegedly providing special treatment to Radhe Maa and a probe has been ordered to investigate the matter. While the policemen are singing a patriotic song, Radhe Maa can be seen enjoying it. She soon became a close associate of Radhe Maa and now the congregation knows her as Chhoti Maa. Sharma was seen standing beside her with his hands folded.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (Shahdara) Nupur Prasad said, "The seat of an SHO comes with responsibility".

Controversial Radhe Maa came to watch Ram-Leela near Vivek Vihar police station on Durga ashtami. There were 15-20 of her disciples along with her. Further action will be taken after reviewing a conduct report in this case. It is said that one of her sons is planning his acting debut. The five policemen in the video, which was uploaded on the godwoman's facebook page, are assistant sub-inspectors Braj Bhushan and Radhe Krishan, head constable Pramod and constables Hitesh and Ravinder, a senior police official said. In 2015, a woman alleged that her husband and his family harassed her for dowry at the order of Radhe Maa.

Sources said Radhe Maa suddenly arrived at the police station and met other staff, who offered her a warm welcome on the midnight of September 28 and 29.

Radhe Maa was born in Dorangala village of Gurdaspur district in Punjab. The house is called Radhe Maa Bhavan by her devotees and Gupta is a managing trustee of Shri Radhe Guru Maa Charitable Trust.
