Wijnaldum: We understood Coutinho saga

Coutinho, is now back to Liverpool's first team and have scored in his last two outings, believing he is ready to move on from the drawn-out saga.

Wijnaldum says the Reds squad would not have been upset had their team-mate left for Spain as his heart was set on moving.

"It was hard. Phil is a really good person, and we understood why he wanted to make the move".

There were two thoughts in your head.

"He's someone who has always given everything for Liverpool".

"The hard part is to sustain the success with all the top sides you have to come up against, and at the moment the way everyone's spending it means it isn't easy". He has done a great job fighting for Liverpool.

In the wake of the Reds' 1-1 draw at Spartak Moscow in their Champions League group game clash, Coutinho has re-affirmed his commitment to the club. But Phil is a good person and no matter how long he's here, I know he will always give everything for Liverpool.
