Amazon Echo acquires a major share of 76 percent in the U.S. market while Google Home takes away the remaining, says CIRP. It weighs 400g (14.1 ounces) and attaches magnetically to the Google Home so it should technically be a seamless transition from your current base.

If you've ever wished to carry the Amazon Echo Dot or Google Home around with you, then a battery pack from Ninety7 could be the right up your street. The Amazon Echo now has a 76% share of the smart speaker market in the U.S., according to research firm CIRP, with 15m units in consumer's homes.

Since the inception of smart speakers, users have been waiting for more features to debut on them.

Google Home is a wonderful little speaker with Google Assistant, but it's tied to an outlet, so you can't carry it around your home as you get your work done without having to unplug, replug, reboot, and re-connect whatever you were listening to.

Of all the No10s at Koeman's disposal it seemed a trifle odd to choose Davy Klaassen for the central role. There has been trouble off the field, too, with Wayne Rooney banned from driving for two years on Monday.

First up is the Dox, which will sell for $39.95 (but is launching on sale for $29.95) and adds a rechargeable battery to the Dot that's supposed to let Amazon's tiny speaker run on its own for 10 hours. I'm also not entirely sure what you'd use this for, since the Dot isn't exactly stellar as a music speaker, and you could buy a better Bluetooth speaker for $40.

As you can see, the LOFT isn't a massive base, and its design blends quite well with Google Home, with a white base and a metal speaker grill that matches the original three metal Home bases offered by Google.

LOFT does not come with audio boosting capabilities, but it does make your life easier by making your Google Home unit portable. With LOFT, Google Home can easily be used as a portable Bluetooth speaker.

When it ships, LOFT will retail for $49.95 but you can pre-order it now for a more reasonable $39.95. Share your thoughts in the comments section below.
