Ryan murder: Haryana government orders CBI probe, takes over school management

Days after seven-year-old Pradyuman's death in Ryan International School, the Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has announced that the state government will take over the school management and that the case would be handed over to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI).

He said the Gurugram administration will take over the school for three months. "Today I came here to meet the family", he told reporters here. Despite that and in view of the demand, this case is being handed over to the CBI for a probe.

"Although, the Haryana Police is doing a good job of investigating the case, we have made a decision to hand over probe to the CBI", Khattar said. "I appeal to the CBI to investigate the case as expeditiously as possible", he added.
