Golovkin will risk his WBA, WBC and IBF belts and Canelo Alvarez his Ring Magazine and Lineal middleweight titles in a fight for supremacy of the 160lb division.

On Sept. 16, Saul "Canelo" Alvarez, the biggest name in boxing, will face one of the most feared knockout artists in combat sports today, Gennady Gennadyevich "GGG" Golovkin. In Canelo's last bout we saw him hitting the heavy bag for 12 rounds in Julio Ceasar Chavez, and before that he was getting out-hustled by the smaller Amir Khan until he positioned himself to land a thunderous right hand to the chin of Khan. I am Gennady Golovkin until I walk into the ring.

When pressed on his goals in the sport of boxing, the 2004 Olympic silver medalist says, "I want to continue to challenge the best".

"I always prepare myself to give the best".

At 35, Golovkin is eight years the senior of Canelo, but the Kazakh insists he is feeling as good as ever and believes he can continue to box into his fifth decade.

US Supreme Court Gives Green Signal to Trump's Travel Ban on Refugee
A series of court decisions since then have said that order must include people with grandparents and cousins in this country. Both provisions were blocked by lower courts but were partially revived by the Supreme Court in June.

"This is similar and much bigger than my fight against Mayweather", Alvarez told Sporting News.

As Canelo has not been in with anyone the same size or strength as Golovkin, I think that power will be the deciding factor in this fight. Alvarez is a former welterweight and super welterweight champion who moved up to a catch weight of 164 pounds for his fight against Chavez.

It is a huge occasion and people are expecting to see the "Fight of the Year" but they are both consummate professionals and pound-for-pound superstars, so they are far too experienced for the size and expectation of this contest to bother them in any way.

It is likely GGG will dominate the first few rounds with his superior push-away style jab, succeeding in keeping Canelo at the range that suits him best. Die-hard fight fans have been there and done that many times before with that kind of hyperbole. Las Vegas sports books appear to be leaning towards the second group, as they have pegged GGG as the favorite. "Seriously, I don't know, just my training every day, I'm just the same", he said. He also has become a more complete boxer in his last four fights. I feel very comfortable.
