Bhubaneswar: BJP national president Amit Shah today arrived in Odisha on a three-day visit to review various programmes launched by the party for strengthening its grassroots organisation in the state.

"The BJP has set a target to win at least 120 seats in 2019 Assembly elections and we will surely achieve it".

Criticising Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik for celebrating an award given by a news magazine to him, Shah said an award can not take the state forward when the government was involved in corruption.

Amit Shah on Wednesday evening said the voices of dissent were never tolerated in the Congress and BJD.

"The Modi government has made several provisions for the uplift of poor Dalits and backward classes. The development was halted during the Congress government", Shah added. The BJP has just 10 MLAs in the assembly.
