Temple student missing since Thursday after leaving Pub Webb

As homicide charges are expected to be filed against a 29-year-old man in connection with a Temple University student's disappearance and death, police are sharing some details of their investigation.

The body of Jenna Burleigh, 22, of Lower Salford Township, was found in northeastern Pennsylvania early Saturday, police confirmed in a news conference that evening.

Investigators said he admitted to elements of the crime, while Philadelphia police say he will be charged with murder. Burleigh, of Harleysville, Montgomery County, had been missing since about 2 a.m. Thursday after she was last seen in the area of Pub Webb, a bar and restaurant near Temple's campus at 1527 Cecil B. Moore Ave.

Hupperterz was picked up Saturday morning at his grandmother's home in Hawley, 140 miles north of Philadelphia.

Police say they are still investigating whether or not anyone else could be involved.

Investigators believe Burleigh died inside the apartment on the 1700 block of North 16th Street.

Ryan said that Burleigh's killing didn't appear to be premeditated and that detectives are still working on determining the exact cause of death.

Temple police posted a flyer on its Twitter page Friday asking for help in finding the student after she was reported missing to the Lower Salford police. We want everyone to know that the community is safe.

Temple's student run newspaper, The Temple News, reported that Burleigh's family went to the university's police department Thursday night to report her missing. The school's president said Burleigh had just joined the Temple community this week as a junior transfer student from Montgomery County Community College, majoring in film and media arts.
