Amber Alert canceled after kidnapped woman, son found safe

Colorado police are continuing to search for a woman and her one-year-old son who authorities say were taken at gunpoint by her ex-boyfriend.

Shortly after the officers took the woman and her son into an ambulance to transport them to the hospital, the Colorado Bureau of Investigation cancelled the Amber Alert.

Authorities have confirmed that Venzor-Gonzalez is the biological father of the toddler.

Samantha is described as being a Hispanic with brown hair and brown eyes. Police said the man, who has open arrest warrants out of Adams and Arapahoe Counties, started driving south on I-25. The vehicle was found parked behind a medical center at 1741 Cypress St.in Pueblo late Thursday afternoon.

Anyone with information is asked to call 911 or contact the Adams County Sheriff's Office at 720-322-1313.
