The 27-year old former Sevilla man, who won the Europa League twice with the Andalusians, has been capped 45 times by Poland and impressed at Euro2016.

Word is that he's now set to sign a season-long loan deal at West Brom, though - with all due respect - he's definitely a Europa/Champions League calibre player, hence the general air of befuddlement surrounding the negotiations.

The midfielder, who cost PSG £34million when he signed from Sevilla past year, was convinced by manager Tony Pulis to join the Hawthorns club for the rest of the season.

"I had a lot of offers from Spain and Italy".

Krychowiak is the second signing of the day for the Baggies, who earlier confirmed the arrival of Kieran Gibbs from Arsenal in a £7m deal. But this is a very ambitious club.

"They've made some good signings and I feel this is a good move for me", said Gibbs after the deal went through.

Leicester have been looking at Krychowiak too but West Brom have moved ahead in the reckoning, soon after beating Crystal Palace to signing winger Burke.

Chairman John Williams says the midfielder's recruitment was a significant addition to the club's squad.

At PSG last season he contributed to a triple success for Unai Emery's side, winning the Trophee des Champions, Coupe de la Ligue and Coupe de France.
