Samsung's range in wearables hasn't always been the easiest line of products to keep track of. Gear Sport will be available in Blue and Black and also includes Gear foundational functions: ● Control of Samsung IoT-enabled devices through Samsung Connect ● Act as a remote control, whether for a PowerPoint presentation or Samsung Gear VR headset ● Pay for goods with a flick of the wrist via Samsung Pay (NFC Only) Gear Fit2 Pro In addition to the new swim and heart rate monitoring capabilities, the new Gear Fit2 Pro features advanced built-in Global Positioning System tracking to capture your run or ride with accurate activity tracking.

In terms of size, the Gear Sport's stainless steel body measures in at 42.9 x 44.6 x 11.6mm, and weighs 50g (without the band).

The new watch isn't won't be replacing the Gear S3 that Samsung introduced a year ago - instead it's filling out the line.

These new buds come with Bixby built right in, allowing you to talk with Samsung's virtual assistant with a simple tap of the button. The Sport will go head-to-head with the Apple Watch Series 3 with rumored cellular connectivity, which could launch on September 12. There's no specific price for the Gear Sport yet, but we expect it to be between $200 and $300 ($300 is about £230).

In a post on Twitter, Samsung shared a link to its website where those who are interested will be able to tune into the company's live stream for IFA 2017 which will be kicking off on the 30th of August, 2017 at 6PM CET. A new Speedo app tracks swimming, while an improved Under Armour app tracks calorie intake and adds on-watch input tools. That means you can use Samsung Pay or Android Pay, but only with NFC and NFC-enabled terminals.

The Samsung Gear Sport will work with Samsung Galaxy phones running Android 4.3 or later, other Android handsets with Android 4.4 or later and even on the iPhone 7, 7 Plus, 6S, 6S Plus, SE and 5 using iOS 9.0 or later. It's available in Black and Red, with Samsung saying that "its versatile design also makes it a stylish accessory". "Thanks to features like water and caffeine intake recording and auto sleep tracking, our new range of wearables are created to help Australians bring balance to their lives". Samsung says battery life will last 7 hours on standalone mode (not connected to a phone for music playback), or 5 hours in Bluetooth mode.

Now, Samsung's hoping to take on both Fitbit and Apple by introducing the only device you ever need on your wrist.

One of our biggest criticisms of the first version was the poor battery life and thankfully things do get a little bit better here. The Gear Fit2 Pro also comes with heart rate sensor, gyroscope and barometer. Everything from measuring the number of strokes or lap times, to tracking which stroke the user is doing is all possible on the 5ATM certified** Gear Sport and Gear Fit2 Pro with the Speedo app.

The new IconX comes with wireless earbuds that connect to the watch and can store up to 4GB of music, Samsung said, enabling users to exercise to music without their smartphone. It also features built-in heart rate monitoring and a suite of workout tracking features as well as automatic activity detection.
