Burger King creates its own currency, Whoppercoin

We're not making this up. The free Whopper #Whopperseverance package will likely go out to the first 2,500 people who are able to follow the instructions to Burger King's liking, and ends on September 1, whichever comes sooner.

The difference between this and normal loyalty points is that the WhopperCoin can be passed on to other people through blockchain transactions, whether sold, traded or gifted.

The initiative will see customers receive a blockchain-based token for every ruble they spend in-store. Have it your way.
