"Carpool Karaoke" premiered on Apple Music with its first episode on the streaming service featuring guest star Will Smith.

This week James Corden, executive producer of Carpool Karaoke, opened up about the late star, telling the Associated Press the fate of the Linkin Park episode will rest in the hands of Bennington's loved ones. He called Bennington's death a "tragedy" and said the decision about whether to air the singer's episode would be entirely up to his family. "We will navigate it as delicately as possible and just adhere to whatever wishes they would want to because I don't think there's any other way we could deal with it, really".

Following Corden and Pankowski's interviews with the two publications, Bennington's wife, Talinda Bennington, reposted the host's conversation with USA Today via her Twitter account.

Bennington, 41, was found dead in his Palos Verdes Estates home on July 20 by a housekeeper - the L.A. County Coroner's Office confirmed to PEOPLE days later that Bennington committed suicide.
