Country music legend Glen Campbell, the mellow-voiced Rhinestone Cowboy who sold millions of albums over a career that spanned decades, has died at the age of 81.

Campbell was one of country music's greatest crossover artists, from his 1967 Grammy award-winner "Gentle On My Mind" to this 1975 multimillion seller.

He was also a victor for Grammy Awards for four times in the different pop categories.

Webb, who still tours regularly - he'll be at One World Theatre on October 26 - last year brought a show called "The Glen Campbell Years" to Austin.
