Solar eclipse will obscure but not disrupt solar generators across United States

Some of the letters I've read from schools to parents, though, have made me anxious. Based on climatology, the western USA will have the best shot at getting a clear view. That can easily be interpreted as, "this event is risky and should not be watched".

Naturally, solar-powered generators on the path of totality will be affected the most, as the moon will block all direct sunlight for up to three minutes.
