If you missed out on Nintendo's NES Classic system, that they for some reason decided to make a limited edition despite a tremendous demand, then you're probably eagerly anticipating the Super NED Classic Edition system slated for release next month.

All pre-orders were cancelled, however, as Walmart said the pre-order availability was a glitch in the system. During its launch, Nintendo did recognize its shortcomings in dealing with the high demand for its legacy console during its run and are promising that they'd be manufacturing "significantly more" units with the SNES Classic.

The system comes fully loaded with 21 games, Nintendo says. September 29 has been penciled in as the SNES Classic Edition's launch date. Two wired retro Super NES Classic controllers will be included.

The situation has only led to further doubt which Nintendo publicly addressed on Tuesday.

"We. can confirm that it will be made available for pre-order by various retailers late this month", the gaming giant posted on Facebook regarding the SNES Classic a short time ago.

Nintendo began pre-orders in the United Kingdom weeks ago.

As such, your best bet to get your hands on a SNES Classic Edition is to somehow secure a pre-order. That last bit is a bit concerning as it suggests Nintendo only plans to sell the SNES Classic Edition through the end of 2017 or just a little over three months. On top of that, a "significant amount of additional systems" will be made available at retailers on launch day and will continue to be supplied throughout the year.

So. uh. there you go.
