Justin Bieber hits photographer with his pickup truck

As he was leaving church on Wednesday night, July 26, Justin Bieber allegedly hit a photographer with his vehicle, according to TMZ, and the moment was caught on video.

Lt. Scott Dowling of the Beverly Hills Police Department tells PEOPLE the accident occurred outside the Saban Theater at 9:24 p.m. The photographer was transported to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries, Stout said.

Police told the Los Angeles Times that Bieber remained at the scene of the incident and "fully cooperated".

"Due to unforeseen circumstances, Justin Bieber will cancel the remainder of the objective world tour concerts", a tour rep said in a statement to Us Weekly, adding that the singer "loves his fans and hates to disappoint them" but made the decision "after careful consideration".

Soon after the news broke on Monday, many news outlets reported that Bieber's motivation for cancelling his concerts came from his newfound calling to rededicate himself to religion.

In a clip from ABC World News Now, Bieber is seen entering the truck and pulling out of a parking space amid a throng of photographers.

"An hour before my birthday hits, I get ran over by Justin Bieber".

Justin's manager Scooter Braun also released a statement on Instagram, noting that it was never the singer's intent to make the abrupt tour changes.
