The UFC lightweight champ is set to make his professional boxing debut against, arguably, the greatest off all time in undefeated 49-0 boxing legend Floyd Mayweather.

That's the question that many people have been asking over course of the last couple days, ever since boxer Jessie Vargas came out and said that he heard McGregor got KO'd while training for his August 26 fight with Floyd Mayweather. I've never met McGregor, and I don't know who he is'. I've never been a part of a training camp where sparring was light.

Speaking to ES News, he said: "The world's gone insane".

"I just got exhausted of it, but I'm looking forward to seeing Floyd get the victory by knockout".

"He got knocked out cold", Vargas told Villainfy Media.

Last weekend, former WBO welterweight champion Vargas claimed to have intel that McGregor had been knocked unconscious in recent weeks.

"But in a boxing match there is only one victor for me and that's Floyd Mayweather".

Vargas predicted a comfortable win for Mayweather and he is even keen to put some money on a fight that he believes can only have one conclusion. We're talking about working together with Mayweather Promotions.

"We've discussed a couple potential things, but I don't know (how long I'll be out there), it'll depend on them", Malignaggi said.

More often than not these types of stories tend to be completely false, as proved to be the case with reports McGregor was knocked out in the buildup to his victory over Eddie Alvarez.

In an Instagram post on Monday, the first fighter in UFC history to hold two titles simultaneously, said: "I must break you".
