After he won the U.S. Open at Erin Hills in record-tying fashion Sunday evening, Brooks Koepka walked toward the scorers tent to sign his card and make the victory official.

Judging by Fox's broadcast of the event, you wouldn't be blamed for thinking it was also the network's first crack at airing the Open. Commentator Joe Buck incorrectly identified Koepka's girlfriend as professional soccer player Becky Edwards.

The mistake is understandable as Koepka and Edwards appeared to be dating as of December, though they're obviously no longer together.

Buck's broadcasting partner, Brad Faxon, soon corrected the error.

Of all the names Buck has had to memorize over the years, Sims' may be one he'll remember for quite a while.
