Jason Dufner secured his fifth PGA Tour title with an impressive three-shot victory at the Memorial Tournament on Sunday.

Dufner shot a 4-under 68 on Sunday for a three-stroke win over Rickie Fowler and Anirban Lahiri. That put him in the final group with Summerhays as Kuchar tries to end three years and 82 starts without a victory on the PGA Tour. But he kept his composure through two rain delays and closed with a 4-under 68 for a total of 275 to get that handshake with host and fellow OH native Jack Nicklaus.

Jason Dufner holds a commanding lead heading into the third-round of the Memorial Tournament.

Summerhays has led after 54 holes three times on the PGA Tour.

Dufner lost a five-shot lead in the third round. "It's easy to kind of go home mad, but I didn't want to go home mad last night and wanted to feel confident going into today". On what is often called a second-shot golf course, Dufner was red-hot with his iron play all week, registering an astounding +10.682 in strokes gained: approach the green-first in the field. He capped off his day by pulling his tee shot into the water and making another bogey. With Fowler just off the green needing a birdie to potentially force a play-off, the mild-mannered Dufner proceeded to roll in his putt from 32 feet. Justin Thomas (69) and Bubba Watson (68) were another shot back. After missing a pair of birdie chances in the 12-foot range on the next holes, he hit the par-5 15th in two and two-putted for birdie from 40 feet to take the lead.

Dufner had a long wait from No. 17 to the winner's circle, however.

So it figured that the Memorial would not be decided until the 11th hour, with the victor that last man standing with the lead on the 72nd hole at Nicklaus' Muirfield Village Golf Course.

Chris Coleman knows he will never get Serbia out of his system no matter what happens in Belgrade on Sunday night. Three wins and a draw would probably see us clinch a playoff spot". "I'm gutted we couldn't hold on to the win".

"The tournament is not over", Dufner said. It still finished with a champion everyone would have expected two days ago — just not the way Dufner got there.

"I'm always invited to spring break", Dufner said. I think the one thing that also helps it gives me something to think about other than my stroke or holing this putt or the situation I'm in.

The Californian has five top-10 finishes on the tour this year, including a win at the Honda Classic on February 23.

Thomas shot 67-71-69-72 over the four day tournament to finish nine under par and tied for fourth with Matt Kuchar. Dufner's was good enough by three for victory No. 5 in his PGA Tour career. "Making the turn even was good and then I felt comfortable to get a little aggressive on the back".

"To see him make that putt on the last was pretty cool, " Fowler said. It's a 72-hole tournament.

Mickelson said he had notified the US Golf Association (USGA) of his decision well in advance so that the organising body as well as his replacement would not be caught off guard. I really wasn't out of position too much all day.
