Brunswick police are on the scene of a stand-off on Valley Forge Drive Monday evening.

Initially cops said they had been shot to death.

The road was plunged into darkness as police sealed off the area and ordered residents to stay inside their homes for their own safety.

A mother and her two adults daughters were found dead Sunday night in their North Royalton, Ohio, home in what police are calling a targeted attack, PEOPLE confirms.

Police said it wasn't immediately clear how long the three women had been dead prior to the discovery of their deaths reported WOIO. How the daughters were killed has not been confirmed at this time.

The mother's boyfriend Scott Plymale called 911 after the older daughter's boyfriend Dale Koster found the bodies, WOIO-TV reported.

A report via Fox8 told of Taylor studying fashion design at Kent State University and playing softball.

No arrests have been made, but Loeding said police have been looking at persons of interest.

The 21-year-old wrote in the bio on her Facebook page: 'Life's too short to sit and wait for luck to come your way'.

The girls' stepmother, Sonya Pifer, described her stepdaughters as "great kids" and "great students". Taylor was a student at Kent State University in Kent, Ohio, while Kylie attended Bowling Green University.

Cleveland.com reported that North Royalton Detective Dave Loeding said the mother was stabbed at least once, but investigators haven't recovered a knife.
