The 27-inch 5K Retina Display is 500 nits bright, and it supports billions of colors at 5120 x 2880 resolutions. Fusion Drives are now standard on all 27-inch configurations and the top-end 21.5-inch iMac.

Apple says its new iMac Pro is its "most powerful Mac" and will cost $4,999.

Nevertheless, Apple's new professional all-in-one desktop computer, iMac Pro, comes along with an 8-core Intel Xeon processor. The 21.5-inch model delivers up to three times faster performance and the 27-inch model is up to 50% faster.

The starting price for the new iMacs ranges from $1,099 to $1,799 and they're available for order today at Apple's website. All in all, it looks like even if the MacBook Air is still alive, it's not in its best possible shape especially if we also take into consideration the fact that it will not even receive Intel's Kaby Lake processors. There will also be faster SSDs built into all the updated MacBooks and MacBook Pros.
