Broadway musical on Cher's life to come in 2018

On Tuesday, the iconic star herself announced on Twitter the plans to bring a musical based on her life to Broadway.

"Just got off phone with writer and director of musical". "There will be performance in theatre with actors, dancers, singers!"

Cher appeared on Broadway in the short-lived production of Ed Graczyk's Come Back to the 5 & Dime Jimmy Dean, Jimmy Dean, a role she later repeated on film. Avenue Q director Jason Moore is onboard to helm the project with War Paint's Christopher Gattelli as choreographer.

A request for comment from Cher was not immediately returned. "IT'll [be] ON BROADWAY 2018". The songs, will, of course, be Cher's greatest hits, from "Gypsy Tramps and Thieves" to "If I Could Turn Back Time" and many more in between.

Cher moved to television in the '70s before launching a comeback at the end of the decade.
