The Essential Phone will also be launching with "the world's smallest 360-degree personal camera". The Essential phone boasts a fingerprint reader, as well as a front-facing 8 MP camera, a rear-facing 13 MP camera and a "monochrome" sensor that is supposed to help with low-light shots. You can see two pins there where you can add accessories to use them on your smartphone. The Essential will not be adorned with any ugly logos, and you should expect it to run on something very close to stock Android-a relief for everyone who is exhausted of third-party skins.

No software details have been released yet, beyond that this phone will run Android. The adaptor will fit into the phone's USB-C connection point.

The phone, called the Essential, made its debut Tuesday and was created by Rubin's company, which is also called Essential.

The Essential has an edge-to-edge display that covers nearly the entire front of the device. It uses the same processor as the Galaxy S8 (Qualcomm Snapdragon 835) and features other comparable hardware specs, including 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage.

We'll see. The company is taking reservations on the new phone now and I'm eager to get my hands on one, although there's no word yet on when it will be available. The company will also offer a cordless docking station in the near future. Essential promises that its Home will be privacy-conscious and will work with a variety of devices. The clips provides power, while the phone establishes a wireless connection to the accessory to transfer data. It costs around $700 to reserve the phone.

The Essential Phone comes with a high price tag of $699 and will be available in Pure White, Black Moon, Stellar Grey and Ocean Depth colors. Muller previously ran North American retail operations for phone maker HTC, according to his LinkedIn profile, suggesting that Essential plans to sell phones through retail stores, carriers or both.
