Celtics, Lakers, 76ers have plenty riding on the National Basketball Association lottery

It is for that reason I've compiled a couple of answers to some FAQ for this upcoming Tuesday's draft lottery.

The lottery victor will have the top overall pick in a loaded draft - a draft headed by University of Washington point guard Markelle Fultz, UCLA point guard Lonzo Ball, Kansas small forward Josh Jackson and Duke small forward Jayson Tatum.

Even though the Celtics will play in the Eastern Conference finals this season, they have a 25 percent of landing the No. 1 pick.

We learned the average lottery pick resulted in a WS/48 of 5.26 which has a similarity score most comparable to Trail Blazers F Meyers Leonard (5.30).

If that happens, the Bulls wont have a shot at drafting one of the point guards unless they trade up. However, Josh Jackson of Kansas, a 6-foot 8-inch small forward, could be a better fit for the team and slots into that no. 3 spot on several mock drafts that project the Lakers to land the no. 3 pick.

Another potential story is vindication for "The Process" in Philadelphia. But this is a draft loaded with talent, so Philly should come out well either way.

The Kings enter the lottery holding the eighth and 10th positions, with the second pick coming from New Orleans in February's trade of DeMarcus Cousins. The Pelicans keep their pick if it's in the Top 3, but there's about a 10% chance of that happening.

Plenty around NBA circles consider the Lakers' NBA lottery fortunes as the most significant asset as they continue to rebuild under an overhauled front office.

Taylor prefers a recognizable face to represent the Wolves on stage. We're ready to go. "Even our franchise, the New York Knicks, deigned to draft guys back in the '90s, went with all veterans, gave up a lot of their picks". The process is repeated for picks two and three, and every other team is then slotted after in reverse order of record. If Boston gets the number one pick they have two very different, yet equally enticing, options. That would have been disappointing. He also said team executives will make another trip to Europe before the draft. As of right now, Draft Express has the Phoenix Suns selecting second and the Philadelphia 76ers getting the fourth overall pick. We got a plan in place for that, and if we don't we've got a plan in place if we don't. "We don't have to wait and see what someone else does".

Lottery night was always going to be the highlight of this season for the 76ers, who started it on a freefall that never stopped.

The Nets are in a rebuilding mode and had the NBA's worst record this season, so the timing worked out perfectly for the Celtics.

In both 2015 and 2016, former Lakers vice president of public relations John Black was the team's representative in the drawing room.

That they're in danger of losing their top pick goes back to the Lakers' search for their next great point guard.
