Jinder Mahal is the new No. 1 contender for Randy Orton's WWE Championship. Never one to waste an opportunity, Naomi hit the ring to offer Charlotte a taste of a main event with her, resulting in all hell breaking loose.

I noted in the preview that picking a victor is pretty tough, since none of the options are likely to unseat current champion Randy Orton (presuming he retains the WWE Title at Payback). That problem was solved this week on "Smackdown Live" in a rather surprising choice.

Charlotte Flair will challenge Naomi for her Smackdown Women's Championship after beating her on just her second night on the show. She demands the be given a SmackDown Women's Championship match and the champion, Naomi, interrupts her. Naomi says she'll give Charlotte what she wants and she immediately takes the "Queen" down with a forearm.

There was a shock victor of the six-man battle to face Randy Orton for the WWE Championship at WWE Backlash on May 21, live on Sky Sports Box Office.

The match was Jinder Mahal's first singles win on Raw or Smackdown since September 12.

The "biggest acquisition of the Superstar Shake-up" (according to Shane McMahon), Charlotte Flair, comes down to the ring and cuts her first promo as a member of SmackDown Live. Zayn nearly had the match won when two men (the Bollywood Boyz) came out from underneath the ring and grabbed Zayn's feet, allowing Mahal to grab a cobra clutch slam for the pin and the title shot. Naomi managed to break free and showcased great athleticism to stun Charlotte.

Finally, United STates champion Kevin Owens was ready to compete...against anyone who wasn't a seasoned veteran of Smackdown.

The Phenomenal One picked up another victory over The Lone Wolf after Corbin was counted out. The two stars brawled and ended up outside the ring, but the referee jumped in and stopped the fight.
