Marcelo insisted there are never any easy games for Real Madrid after the La Liga leader completed its comeback in the 90th minute.

The 24-year-old is out of contract at the end of next season, which has reportedly sparked the interest of Real's rivals Barcelona.

They lead Bayern Munich 2-1 in their Champions League quarter-final ahead of Tuesday night's second leg in Madrid.

Isco also hailed Madrid's DNA to fight till the end, but accepted the European champions made life hard for themselves against relegation threatened Sporting.

Alonso, 35, left Premier League side Liverpool for Madrid in 2009, going on to win LaLiga, the Champions League, Copa del Rey and Supercopa de Espana before linking up with Pep Guardiola at Bayern Munich five years later.

Fabio Coentrao: He didn't start good the match but we can say he had a better performance than in the last game he played (Sporting Lisbon- Real Madrid).

He said: "Zidane makes the line-ups and is managing the squad in an extraordinary way". Isco's fine individual effort and a towering header from Alvaro Morata ensured neither lead lasted more than a few minutes.

After the match, Isco tried to quash rumors he's unhappy at the club.

Zidane - who left Cristiano Ronaldo at home with the Champions League on his mind - took them in his stride, praising Isco's performance but pointing out he has so many top players that he can not pick them all each week.

"I've already said many times that I want to stay here for a long time and I hope that is what happens", Isco told Spanish outlet AS.

Yannick Carrasco struck twice and Filipe Luis added another goal as third-placed Atletico eased past bottom-side Osasuna.

Deportivo moved away from the drop zone with its first win in five rounds.
