But that doesn't make it less complicated to use. From here, you can edit your video to add symbols, emojis, and of course filters. They unlock all of your editing tools. The app sometimes misheard me (which other reviewers have noted), and translated my speech incorrectly.

Apple has included a few speech bubbles, arrows and logos you can put over the top of your images.

If you don't want to be a part of the image you can event choose from cool templates.

To use the feature, you simply touch and hold a single button to shoot live video and photos, or add them from the photo library.

'The effects, filters and fantastic new Live Titles we've designed for Clips let anyone make great-looking, easily sharable videos with just a few taps'. Eight filters, ranging from black and white to my favorite Comic Book, are behind the interlocking circles icon. Once you have recorded what you need, you need to drag the clips in the order and add emoji, filters, titles, animated icons, etc. If you pause, it also pauses.

Apple Clips is yet another iOS-exclusive feature that iPhone and iPad users can boast about with their Android friends.

Let's take a quick look at how Apple Clips works and what it's all about. And remember that creating a clip in Clips doesn't mean that video goes anywhere but your Camera Roll.

Apple Clips may have some unique elements to stand out in the crowd, but it is certainly not the first video-making app out there. This is flawless for scrolling through Facebook's auto-playing News Feed, but also improves accessibility, making videos easy to watch for viewers who are deaf or hard of hearing. Selecting the "Live Titles" button will allow users to talk out subtitles and the app will transcribe what you say. But, like using Siri, we imagine this feature may sometimes have trouble understanding you. Speak slowly and enunciate to avoid having to edit your captions. You can place multiple stickers on the frame, and rotate, scale, and move them using gestures.

The title screens are kind of hokey, sure, but you can edit them to any length you want and change a lot about them easily.

In your first few hours with Clips, it'll feel a little burdensome.

Indeed these are some minor problems that Apple can fix, but I do not see Clips replacing the editors offered by social media giants. It also includes a row of suggested contacts, which Apple generates by looking at the people you've texted most recently, names mentioned in your video, or faces you've tagged in pictures stored in Apple's Photos app. Apple Clips also has a feature called "posters" that users can add to their footage. Clips doesn't work natively with Snap. But clips seem tailor-made for sharing on Facebook in particular. It's actually pretty fun and intuitive to use, but we're talking trimming scenes, adding audio and enhancing color rather than stuffing your videos full of emoji overlays and fancy visual effects.
