Barca blitz Sevilla with awesome first-half display

Lionel Messi scored twice as Barcelona brushed aside Sevilla to keep up the pressure on Real Madrid in the La Liga title race.

Three minutes later Messi finished off a rapid break to make it 2-0. His Barcelona teammate, Luis Suárez, also praised his actions after the game.

Real top the table with 71 points, two clear of Barca, and have a game in hand on their arch-rivals as they bid for a first title since 2012.

It never had a chance against Barcelona under steady rain at the Camp Nou.

"Probably we have put in the best first-half performance of the season", said Luis Enrique.
