GUAM - Nissan Guam confirmed with Guam News Watch that a voluntary recall notice for the Nissan Cube found on Safecar.gov does in fact impact the Guam market.
The voluntary recall applies to 2009-2010 Nissan Cube's.
According to Safecar.gov, the issue lies with the vehicle's "Fuel System Integrity. When the vehicle was rotated following a rear moving barrier crash test as required, the fuel leakage exceeded the allowable limits."
Nissan Guam's General Manager, Philippe Gerling told us, "We will notify our customers promptly to schedule repair as soon as parts become available from Nissan."
Gerling also informed Guam News Watch that the "initial repair parts will be automatically sent to dealers beginning in mid-August."
Guam's Cube owners can contact Nissan Guam's service department at 647-7262 for questions regarding the recall.
